Wah...your rate of realising results is quite fast. I moved from 43-44 to 37 (had to do a complete change of trousers n shirts) and thought I had done a good job. Kumbe it can go further....smile But I like it that way now...

Yanni @washiku's waste was 44 feet while mine is kindu 32 33 yet I say am BIG?

Did you wed while you were 44???

Not talking Not talking Not talking

Nope...I was 44 in 2011-2012. But I wouldnt want to get to 33...that would be a too tiny me. Would you imgn a giant that was struggling at 44 coming down to 33...Infact my ideal size is 37 thus I would comfortably say "nimefika"

same here... but 36 would be best for my 5 feet 11 inch frame with more muscles on my shoulders.

Its very easy to put on muscles on the shoulders using weights

i was 44-43 as well... dropped them inches mbaka 38 at the end of last year (when i weighed 92)... saa hii hizi 38s are becoming a bit loose on the waist. I have started attracting comments and questions like - "usipitishe hapo!", "kwani ulikuwa mgonjwa?". the best was my uncle who told me "lakini wacha nikuambie - ulikuwa umenona! unajua saa hii naweza kukuambia."

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly I can positively identify with those comments...Lol. Mpaka wengine wanauliza "Stress ni ya nini jamani?"

hahaha!! sijapata hii but I am sure they are whispering it behind my back! my mum inlaw aliita my wife kando akamwambia nisipitishe hapo. watu watadhani niko na "low cd4s" as some have put it here. but personally i feel great!! i am very active. i can concentrate for longer. my creativity has improved. i just love this new (old) me. Misri sirudi tena!!

Got inspired by Wazuans, I am 103 Kg started jogging last monday, I will check my weight on friday and hope to have reduced, the only problem is the terrain, I live in a hilly{not that hilly though} area and jogging is killing my legs, especially when climbing them stairs.

And don't discount the role of eating right in your endeavor. I believe it's actually a bigger contributor to weight loss than exercise anyway. How is jogging killing your legs? If it is just muscle pain that will go away in a few short days. Kama ni joints then that is a different story. Best wishes just the same.

Its just muscle pain at the back of right leg, I hope it goes away after one week.

I am now at 95 Kgs, have minimized the weekend alcohol [njaanuary] has played a role in it, I eat lots and lots of fruits, n people are noticing that I have shed some weight, my pot is no longer protruding but at the same level as the rest of the body [to the delight of madam], thanks Wazuans for this thread, n lets all keep exercising. [sorry if it sounds like Ushuhuda]

congrats sir! i can relate. sasa anaza kujipanga na nguo zingine from here hence forth you will notice that your wardrobe needs a make over.

Thanks, Itanibidi, but its for the best.

Congrats. 'Heavy bones' is a good thing, means you'll have an 'easy' old age. Osteoporosis has a lot of old people troubled. Brittle bones.

How does one tell their type of bones?:-) As in whether they are strong or weak? Or HEAVY?smile

I have told guys this fruit things for eon but most of them wamelalia visikio zao.
It works pals.

I used to tell people that my being big runs in our family[with references of course] but I realised its what I eat and the fear of skipping a rope. Funny enough I am losing more weight in the tummy, waist than in the upper body i.e chest arms and ngata.
Its all good.

@Mukiri, some of these "professors" are just after money. Can it be proved scientifically

I can't speak for science, but it has worked wonders for me. Hiyo I'd be willing to put my money on it.

You can make money with the mucus free movement immediately the quail mania is over.

By the way do you understand how mucus is formed and why it is important to have mucus?

Atleast you are reading. And even better you are criticizing it. I'm also not one to accept things on face value.

I have this ghanian colleague who rebuked our diet saying, the reason west africans are admired is cz of the way they eat.- Too much starch is not good for men he advised cz it causes the production of more phlegm around the waist,a factor attributed to the PDP.Passenger matters.Tafakari hayo.

more protein than starch is recommended for such aircrafts.

ok keep on exercising.

when i started ''hitting the gym'' i was was 82.5kgs and i wanted to seriously reduce my weight. but shock on me when i realized my weight had gained to 85kgs. i suspected the gym weighing scale and ignored it and started using the ones in town then other towns, then the hospital ones, but the weight kept on creeping up until 89.5kgs and i was a worried man.
Its then i seriously talked with the gym instructor who wised me up on what he did, yeah he used to be seriously overweight and what he did was walk. yep walk everywhere he could, secondly he changed his diet and reduced the intake thirdly in the gym what he did the most was try to lift his own body using the the straight bar( i don't know whats its called.).
lastly he advised me exercise is a lifestyle decision. its like going to work, going to church, laundry, things you do but don't like but you have to do for your own good.

That when i realized exercise is something you do until the day you die. its not a sprint its a marathon. That almost made me leave the gym.
So i thought about it for a while and what i did was change my whole tack of exercising. i observed, why were certain people thin and fit and others fat and unfit. what i observed was the following:

1. The people who are fit work with their hands, their mode of transportation is their feet and their meals are few and far between and are like what mama used to make.

2. Their level of inactivity is minimal next to negligible, they cannot afford to be idle watching T.V or browsing because they cant afford these items and need to work to earn their bread.

4. They endlessly socialize and can got to extreme lengths and distances to socialize if they can afford it and when they drink its time to exercise their sporting prowess karate Chinese style or boxing. observe on Mondays the number of swollen eyelids. i have known some to walk great distances to visit their friends when they have time to socialize.this is a great stress reliever.

3. they are not able to delegate so they do most of their ''HOMEWORK'' i.e house repairs, cooking, laundry, wash the house etc.

4. their kids really play as we used to unlike ours these days.

That's when i started to change my life

my wife's old man is quite fit!! i remember when i took my folks over to visit and my uncles thought he was a random guy. sleeveless, looks fit kama mtu wa mjengo with veins kwa mkono. his cousin however was a proper politician type guy who had a politician's body, they thought he was the father to the would be bride and imagine the surprise when my father inlaw was introduced!! I started noticing that i spent most of my time just lazing around when i visited my folks inlaw but the opposite is true when he visited us - he plays with kids, he wants to fix stuff (working with his hands). I hope to become like him when I get to his age! mind you the dude is retired!!

i can relate to that cause my elder uncle is past 80 and as fit as a fiddle.
works all day.
he has a sweet tooth and has all his teeth
never been sick as far as i know.

my take;its not what you eat,its what you do with it.

sometime last year i started turning up for some rugby in one of the local university sides. this helped quite a bit but i soon found myself playing front row for this particular side. it was fine as long as the games were spaced but due to postponements of games towards the tail end of last year - this year we are required to play 2 games a week, sema kuchoka! sasa i have picked up injuries kibao (its probably my body telling me in relax kiasi)
