I don't have much regard for politicians. But having said that,it's a fact that they have alot of influence - almost absolute - on how things are done given our current set up. We therefore need them - it's painful saying that. Of all the politicians I think Raila and Michuki have the capacity and will power to sort this Mau forest mess out. Raila has always been dragged back by other politicians and politics in general but I think he is getting himself out of that mix. I think Raila might be our only hope when it comes to Mau forest - I hope I'm right on this. This guy can work and I'm hoping to see his tremendous energy being put into use for the benefit of Kenyans. As for baba Jimmy, nothing personal but... Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

@ Brewer
I understand what you mean. But because of China, you can afford a laptop, computer, and the massescan afford radios, piki pikis,TVs e.t.c. I too hate the Chinese attitude, but look,if it werent for them,my laptop would have costed me four times, the TV I have would have been at least double the price and in shagz, without my car,i would have been forced to used a pedal powered 'Raja'.
Hating China is like hating Equity Bank.
Now I don't want to draw further parallels. What I care for is a restored Mau,Cherangani,Maragoli,Aberdares e.t.c

@Spend.thrift,my parallel with chinese products was not exactly negative. You will note that, unlike you,I did not use the word ''hate''.

Raila needs to be forceful.
1. The 14 day ultimatum to vacate Mau,ADC and other Lands in the coast should be enforced...
2. Road rules should be brought back and clearly enforced...
3. Raila should dissaccociate with Ruto. Ruto have been involved in all corruption scandals of late.
4. Kenyan leader should be able to instruct striking workers to go to work ie Kenya Airways, teachers and have them listen.
5. A Kenyan leader should be able to ask people in Kibera to move to the new houses to pave way for new slum upgrading project
Recommedations in Ndungu report,Waki report,Alston report, both Bomas and Wako constitutions drafts,Vision 2030,Imanyara bill, should be enacted, implemented and closely monitored to strengthen our institutions, state and improve our political environment.
