Yeah ????

I'm also thinking "I should really start watching the news!".

But then again, wacha ikae! I have no time for watching yapping politician. I will stick to accidentally "seeing" the news - mostly when someone in the room insists on watching the circus called Kenyan news. They really need to reduce the political stuff in the news and bring things that add value. But I guess politics "sells"!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Kenya has gone to the dogs. I know a senior fellow who will not employ people from his tribe so that he doesn't seem tribal. Coincidentally when he got employed people from his tribe were the majority there. Three years ago jobs were advertised and the majority of successful applicants were from his tribe. Guess what! They were not taken. And he told the interviewing panel it was because of their tribe. There is need for a National outlook he said. He took less qualified, less experienced candidates from other tribes who were not even enough and re-advertised the remaining jobs! Second round, same thing. No one from his tribe was taken! And now it is a foregone conclusion - If you are from tribe x, no need to apply. If you ask me, this is as bad as the 'kawaida' tribalism.

I've never really understood why news should take a whole 40-60 mins. In my opinion, anything more than 20-30mins is a waste of my time, especially when over half of it is all about politics and politicians. Notice the dearth of int'l news in our local channels?
Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.
