The new season is almost here and teams are busy signing players.
This new season will be an interesting one as most teams are doing their best to add quality to their sides.
Sofapaka, Gor Mahia and AFC leopards are some teams that have made interesting signings.

I also hear Tusker has relocated to Kinoru stadium (Meru) and Sofapaka to Machakos.

Very good news and briliant moves by the two teams. Spread the football machinani

Is Kahata staying at Thika ama vipi ? He has been the subject of a lot of rumours. He has supposedly received an offer of Ksh 5 million to move to Azam. But the TZ transfer season has already ended.

Also interesting is Nakuru All Stars making a comeback after 40 years. They are sure to pull crowds but unless they strengthen their team, they are headed straight back to grass.

Now I wish teams like Shabana, Kisumu Hotstars, Kakamega homeboyz, Imara, Hakati Sportiff and Isiolo Vickers can make a comeback. Then the league itawaka moto to the point that Kenyans will abandon the English premier league in droves. smile

Sasa now that Nakuru All stars have changed their name to Nakuru Top Fry are they still a community club?

This Nakuru TopFry Allstars is not the same as the Allstars of old that was a community club. This one is owned by an old friend of mine Robert Muthomi.

The new Nakuru All Stars apparently acquired the naming rights from the old Nakuru Al Stars. Not sure how. Then when a sponsor stepped in, they changed their name to topfry. I dont like it one bit. This can only happen in a team with no tradition and no history. Can you imagine the big two being named Mumias Sugar Leopards and Kogalo Tuzo. Can you imagine our southern neighbours calling their teams Kilimanajaro Yanga and Kilimanjaro Simba ?Hiyo ni machezo.

Fans of Hull recently prtested when the new owner tried to change the name to Hull Tigers and started protesting bitterly. Never mind the fact that new owner is the one who has made this previously irrelevant team relevant.

Kahata has gone to Albania. Other Kenyans who went there never succeeded. Lets see what Kahata can do.
