Well, I beg to differ. Remember a season or so ago when the NOISY NEIGHBOURS were 12 Points behind and we lost games In quick succession to akina QPR and we lost the title?

The season is still a long way. Teams will lose matches.

I think that come January 30, the table will have taken shape and each team will be where they belong. eg, HULL NO 17, STOKE NO 12, Southampton No 10, Tottenham No 6, Chelsea No 3, etc, etc.

We may not win the league, but Failing to qualify for Champions league is Simply not possible.

And there is also another way I choose to look at it.

Arsenal will definitely not win the league. Neither will Liverpool. So we are basically 8 points behind teams with a realistic chance of winning the league!

Does that make me feel better? Of course NOT!! We are Man United!!! We should not be any number of points behind anyone! And with Moyes tactics - or lack of thereof - we had better get automatic qualification for the CL otherwise the qualifiers would be ulcers central!!!

Ati Moyes is talking about a transition! Give me a f@*kin break! There is no transition at Everton? Man City? Bayern? Real Madrid? Transition my foot!

WORD!
IF YOU EXPECT ME TO POST ANYTHING POSITIVE ABOUT ASENO, YOU MAY AS WELL SIT ON A PIN

January 2nd - Man United 6 points behind League leaders? 5 points? Noo, let's just stick with 6 points for now!

SAF and Wenger are excellent managers. give their teams to another manager and you see how average the team is.
I'm not surprised at Man U performance, I expect at best 4th and that's coz moyes has a solid second half of season. remember seeing everton in relegation zone only to find the finishing 6th.

Man for man only Rooney and Van Persie can make it to chelsea first 11, and only van Persie can make it to man city first 11.
Man U is just not as strong, the manager was excellent. moyes needs time and new players if he's to achieve success. luckily he has some traits of working with low potential like at everton and maybe that's why he got the job.
The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

This Moyes fellow doesn't even have respect for history, teams that last won at Old Trafford DECADES ago or have never ever won there are going there and beating Man United just like that!!! I don't think he gets the magnitude of what is happening!! To him it's just another match.

HOW DO YOU TURN A TEAM FROM CHAMPIONS TO WORSE THAN AVERAGE IN UNDER SIX MONTHS????

If Moyes is not fired this week, he must have the most secure job in EPL. Probably in the world of football!! The Man United job is TOO BIG for him. He MIGHT BECOME a good coach with time but Man United is not a place for attachés!

Sir Alex Ferguson for care taker manager!!!

Let me search the net for a site that can give me nice odds for betting "Sir Alex Ferguson will become the care taker manager of Man United before the end of this season".

I might just get me odds of 100/1 of better which means if I put in £50 (Kshs. 6,500/=) I can get me Kshs. 650,000/= (or better!). That's more than enough to "wipe my tears".

Searching right now...

Two Facts:

1) Man United needs to improve the midfield [has been for some time].

2) Moyes has no excuse!!! That team are the defending champions. Now they can't even beat mediocre teams at home? In under six months??? Swansea shows up at Old Trafford with no win in like six games back to back and beats Man United? Red Card or no Red Card there is no excuse!!!

SAF loves Man United so much to do such a thing. He even had his office moved from Old Trafford to ensure Moyes is the main man! And to think Pep Guardiola was available and was never offered the job!!!

Maybe they should have taken their former player Solksjaer who is the new boss at Cardiff. Guy was very loyal to Utd

The damage has already been done. The best thing now is to hope we pull a string of wins to ensure that 4th spot does not vanish into thin air. I think we can beat Sunderland in the league cup semi away and at home return leg but there's no way we'll beat Man City in the final. Oh, sorry, let's beat Sunderland first!

No player is going to join a sinking ship in this transfer window, and there are very few quality players available in this Jan window. Hapa ni maombi.

That said, there are players who should now not feature in the first team after the Jan window and they are as follows, in no particular order:

1. Cleverley - There's nothing clever or creative about his play
2. Smalling - Great disappointment. Very uncomfortable on the ball
3. Fabio - A shadow of his twin brother
4. Anderson - 6 years and nothing to show for
5. Nani - We don't need inconsistency
6. Young - Divers will never take us anywhere

The clean up cannot be done overnight but our midfield is the sickest area. Sasa tuendelee na maombi
3. V

I am NOT a United supporter, but it really surprises me to hear so much noise here, especially from supported of the club that hasn't won jack in a decade. You stood behind your useless frenchman for so many barren years. I'd be patient with Moyes...

@smano - I totally agree with you! I never thought I would say this in my lifetime but we can only HOPE AND PRAY for a top four finish. Geez!! Things are really elephant! Since when was that a target for Man United?? Since when was it in doubt?

And what's worse, at the current rate we might not even make that top four! To finish in the top four, we must dislodge Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea or Liverpool! But these teams are taking their stuff seriously this season. You can see the fighting spirit in them. There is absolutely no fighting sprit currently in Man United. And to get to the current top four we have to go through Everton and Tottenham who are not in joking mood either!

If we don't qualify for Champions League even the summer transfer period will be terrible. And Rooney might also not sign a new contract. Others like RvP might also ask to leave. Itakuwa balaa tupu!

And Moyes' management skills are questionable. You don't go shouting about "transition period" right left and center! That's like telling the players indirectly that it is okay to loose - for now! A manager of a big team DEMANDS for results even when he knows those results are next to impossible to get. You can tell the board privately about "transition periods" but not the players and the public!
