After a whole Sunday headline that generated so much heat, it comes out that it was all rumours and inuendos...
In the Sunday Nation of December 29, we reported that President Kenyatta had extended the term of the Kenya Defence Forces chief, General Julius Karangi, by a year. We wrote that General Karangi was due to retire this month after expiry of the first year of a two-year extension of his term granted last year by then President Mwai Kibaki; and also in keeping with the Tonje Rules that mandate retirement at 62 or after four years of service for the Kenya military commander. We have since established that President Kenyatta has not extended General Karangi’s term as it was not expiring, nor has he reached retirement age.
Is the retraction instigated by the draconian media law?
I care!

"South Africa successfully defended the Confederation of African Rugby Women’s Africa Cup Seven’s title after beating hosts Kenya 15-0 in the Cup final, at the Kenyatta Stadium, yesterday. It’s the second time the two teams were meeting in the one-day continental tourney after Kenya lost 21-12 in the preliminaries.
Instrumental Nosi Goda scored a try on either half with Zenoy Jadaan converting for visitors to retain the title. Despite the defeat Kenya Lioness Coach Kevin Wambua was proud of
his girl’s
performance."

the link to this piece actually mentions "alcohol robbed Kenya of an athletic champion"
this kind of reporting does not help matters at all because it sounds as if it is the alcohol's fault that these bad things happen to people. watu ndio wanatumia phombe, not the other way round

SubStandard Pg 10 - Woman, daughters raped and killed
Nation Pg 2 - Family clobbered to death
Same very sad story, but good luck if you can find out exactly if it was crime or ritual killing.

Look at the heading! 'Young children porn trainer
released
in Kitengela
But seriously what's wrong with those parents! the fellow is a child molester for good and shouldn't be left to wander around!
Now looking at the molester's face ,I can only wish him below kind of punishment in kamiti or wherever else.
Warning: Graphic and sickening story, but hey a toddler was beaten, molested and died.
