Colorado state became the first jurisdiction to sell recreational marijuana legally. Shops licenced to sell the product reported very high turnout as the first day of implementing the change in law. I wonder when Kenyans will follow suit?

Estimated US$ 2,000,000,000 in tax revenue is expected in the states. I think Uhuru should give this a serious look.
1.PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT
2.BOOST AGRICULTURE
3.INCREASED TAX REVENUE
4.TOURISM
The social consequences could also be carefully considered.
1. MENTAL DISEASES

One pot retailer, Diego Pellicer, is even mulling over a floatation in a few years. The projected revenues are massive.

I am opposed to legal sale of drugs, but possession in minor quantities should be decriminalised. It should be a misdemeanour with fines, compulsory rehabilitation/advisory programs and mandatory social work but no JAIL SENTENCE!!
A single roll of marijuana can get you 10 years!!!

A cursory glance through our Narcotics And Psychotropic Substances Act leaves one feeling as though it was drafted by someone who was very angry or had a grudge. Very little mention is made of rehabilitation programs/services and how such should be instituted and funded.
Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

this is of course a thread that is heading nowhere - legalization of this or that will show up in 20 years at least if not 50!
