can anyone assist me on how i can get a copy of duty entry form and duty payment receipt from KRA. if possible, what do i need to take there?

On a similar note I'm wondering if I can pay duty at any branch of KRA. I'm importing a car for the first time.

You can pay at any branch of co-operative bank or national bank, or make a bankers cheque in favour of commissioner of customs (my preferred method) and give it to your clearing agent.

I'm not sure of the account numbers, your clearing agent should help you with that.

Someone was telling me that the 8 year rule is set to be reduced/dropped with the integration of the East African Community. How true is this?

For now the 8 year rule applies, no two ways about it unless you have family working at KRA.

What if you ship to Uganda then bring back the vehicle and you buy a salvage and remove the plates from the salvage and put them on the Ugandan vehicle?

Best applicable on classics (Minis etc). Import to uganda. Take your classic jalopy across the border and do an overhaul. Drive back to our beloved country.
