Are folk are expecting changes, like the Jubilee Gov is a magic wand? We are not in a fairytale world.
This gov inherited problems from the previous Govs, it's not like things were good, then this gov messed things up. If things were good then this gov messed things up, then we'd have all the rights to complain.
This Gov has not event been in office for a year (so far, about 8 months) and already:
- Industries being revived, e.g. the latest one that I heared of - banning the importation of furniture to create employment locally.
- Traffic lights
- Free maternity
- Soon, visa on arrival for all African nations
- Digitising the Gov - E.g. soon you'll be able to register a biz via your phone.

- New railway project, from Mombasa, to Malaba.
- Speeding up business at Mombasa port
Of course there are more that have not been mentioned here, point is that they've just been around for about eight months, and already they have done and are doing good things.
Can you count what was achieved in the last 8 months of the previous gov?
The new gov is doing good work, all under the backdrop of:
- A new government structure, meaning, people are still learning the ropes, learning how to get along. Counties, governors, senators, devolution etc...
- Burnt airport
- Graft, e.g. the corrupt police, the unaccountable billions from the previous gov etc...
- Poor infrastructure, e.g. roads that were designed for a population, of which decades ago, was much less than what we now have. E.g., Mombasa highway, a super busy, two lane road. Of course the probability of an accident occurring, e.g. during overtaking will be multiple times greater when the number of vehicles are multiple times more on each of the two lanes. Mombasa road along with all major highways need to be upgraded to be at least like Waiyaki Way.
- A bloated workforce, consuming the budget. (The workforce needs to be made lean and mean via training and adopting productivity technology).
- The existence of a large and desperate population.
- Bandits / cattle rustlers, from both local and foreign towns (Ethiopia).
- Terrorists
- ICC
Etc...
Good leadership is what will drive change, and personally, I think that we have the best president this country ever had, and probably one of the best that this country will ever have.
An analogy, if it's an engine that can safely do 9000 RPM, this gov has just started it's engine, we are at 1000 RPM, and we are already experiencing good movement, getting a feel of the engine's potential, just wait till reaches 9000 RPM - And we still haven't even started cashing the oil.
These pollsters should spend their time doing something more productive.
They tried to bury us, they didn't know we were seeds.
