I don't know how helpful this is but its rough description of the one i talked about I think it had two or three chambers and a sort of soak pit but has served almost 30 years without need for exhausting.

you are not serious. have u tried shopping around? cfc, hf & kcb all have reates lower than 18% on reducing balance

@rankaz. This is the usual stabilised soil block technology. As long as cement is being used in large quantities, there are no serious cost savings achieved.

Interlocking stabilised soil blocks made out of red soil or murram would be a better cost saving solution.

In the case of using quarry dust, the block looks like stone hence the added advantage of superior class higher than soil block houses.

@oltome, most kenyan banks have rates over 14%. The base lending rate set by cbk is 8.5%. In other countries, banks only add 1 or 2 % on top of this but in Kenya, banks can add even 10% on this for home loans. Economists and bankers here can give us why kenyan banks do this.
