Unfortunately airing their dirty linen in public may lead to its downfall but the figure of 1.5B taken by the MD for "non-business" activities is huge; also the 550Mn for purchase of a building in Nairobi. Crazy what money can do to so called sane individuals. when is enough, enough?

On a global scale Tuskys could very well be an SME.

An attempt at an out-of-court settlement of a family feud over the control of Tuskys Supermarkets has collapsed, documents filed in court show.

Yusuf Mugweru, one of the company directors, has applied to court to set aside orders stopping the criminal proceeding against other directors of the company, saying the mediation talks had flopped.

They have acquired Ukwala, though not all in NRB and certainly not the ones outside Nairobi - which are franchised.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God..

Why should this deal be probed when there is so much competition from Nakumatt and uchumi.

They can hardly be a monopoly.

I passed by the tuskys near i&m building and it was closed. all the staff were on the parking lot and pavement, they had placed banners on the entrance doors. some of them read 'ukoloni mamboleo', 'tuskys officials are corrupt'. something is brewing over their

Last years turnover was about 25 billion meaning that average per day is about 69 million. Considering annual growth and also this is the highest shopping season, I would estimate lost sales of Kshs 90-100 million per day lost.

the biggest looser in this are the middle level suppliers..... the guys who's single biggest client is Tuskys...

obviously the family feude aside they have already made their money and that's y they are willing to risk closure in the biggest shopping wknd of the year.

What is happening here? Mi naona hii mambo ya kuwachia watoto kila kitu it can only lead to drama. Better to leave the kids something moderate to build off of, than to leave them without any struggle at all then they become lost, idle rabble rousers

Very embarrassing indeed. Instead of the 3rd generation using the wealth to go the "Harvards", intern at "Wallmarts" and return and perfect on what the first generation built, they are busy shouting Haki Yetu. Kwanza that lady in green in the video ni disaster. This is one business taht cannot last for long. I am pretty sure the branch managers are by now plundering the branches and stockings their Kiosks
