It may be on Edge by default to save data bundles. Change to 3G. See your network settings.

Check whether your phone is on energy saving that may be the cause.
or the coverage of 3G in your area is not optimised well

This one is a lie. The SIM card has nothing to do with 3G or 2G coverage, it depends on the base station serving your location...

There are too many subscribers nearby where you are operating your device ...3G has a mechanism called cell breathing/shrinking where 2 things happen when too many subs use up the capacity
i) you are handed to a nearby or overlapping cell and if all neighbouring cells are full ...
ii) QoS is degraded (this is why you are dropped to the EDGE protocol)...
actual technical details of how this works involve radio and topology math, very intense stuff smile smile

If it is always then as advised you need to check the settings on your gadgets.
If it drops frequently then it could be an issue with 3G coverage in your location. Either way, i think calling their customer care is still your best bet for faster trubleshooting.
Above all, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.

I think for 2G and 3G, standard sim card can be used. But 4G will need "compatible" sim card and phone. Glad to be corrected.

On the issue about dropping n/w, like @quicksand says, it could be congestion and/or coverage.

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly tulia boss, now guys want put my nuts on a guillotine because of what i said, that is what i was told and after googling this is what i found

Quote:
A regular SIM card comes with 32KB of onSIM memory which was sufficient to manipulate data on 2G network. but a 3G SIM card has 128KB of onSIM memory which is beneficial to handle high speed data

Have you changed the network setting to 'Dual Mode' or 'WCDMA only'?
