For me, these docs have no point whatsoever, If you are fired because you are Luo working in Okuyu land the law is clear on what you can do. We are not that jungle country that the civil society likes to protray us to be dint we all sing about having a free and just judiciary?
These docs...if they only knew how easy the have it in Kenya.... with a supreme court that is capable of throwing out 200 pages of evidence......a high court that stops demolition of temporal structures along the railway line ........ There is already a court order in place requiring these guys to go back to work, theirs being an essential service. They shed do exactly that and let their leaders n lawyers argue out their case in court or wherever else. What pleasure are they deriving in seeing the sick suffer?

"Orders stopping the health workers strike extended by the Industrial Court to December 24th when the case will be heard." Does this mean the strike is valid for the next 7 days?  Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

Not sure who's saying the truth. Did the Dr Alfred Mutua take advantage of a PR opportunity that's now gone sour? Or are the doctors regrouping?

This Union is represented by reputable persons, valid as is at the Labour Office. I speak for Lower Eastern Branch, and authoritatively so as the Secretary General of the Branch. In the meeting held by Dr Alfred Mutua, that is purported to have a reached a Return to Work agreement was no VALID KMPDU representation. We assume that the persons mentioned were there in their own capacities. Doctors in Lower Eastern have shown great Solidarity, which I must commend, and have kept off work, despite being the backyard of the above governor. A spot check confirms, that there is NO work going on at the hospitals in the county. Anything else you see on media is just but propaganda to derail the faithful KMPDU soldiers from Lower Eastern, especially Machakos from this noble cause. They often ask: "Go back to work to what?" I agree. ONLY NEC can hold negotiations with our employer, and that employer is NOT any county. Doctors beware of such propaganda from spin masters and persons who do not see the essence of this noble fight. I urge all doctors in the branch to always read their emails, faithfully, as all official information concerning this strike and the branch will come from me, on a regular basis. Doctors, keep calm, I am at the forefront of this, and cannot agree and be party to anything that devolves us to abyss. God Bless Dr. Mercy Korir.

This Dr Bosire sounds calm, brilliant and articulate. However, she has not yet convinced me. I still dont understand why the doctors are on strike.

The law talks about 30pc of staff coming from outside the county. However based on the lists of shortlisted candidates for various posts advertised in the papers in most counties, all are from the parent communities. Where is the recourse in this? Aren't doctors therefore justified in fighting devolution of this kind?

Well,she did well evading questions and making stuff up like drs go to private clinics during free time,laughable because we know they go there during working hours.She was also rather arrogant putting across the point that governors cannot supervise them,like we dont know the supervision that the public was talking about is administative not clinical.Now that the CS has said that they promised the medical workers that the bill would be ready in feb,why exactly are they on strike? I am happy
