I think this is a great move. It will have positive economic implications for Kenya now that we are becoming the regional hub. Kenya is the 2nd country in Africa after Rwanda to do this.

i hope checks will be there to avoid this provision being misused because it can be exploited to our disadvantage especially in terms of insecurity

How does open borders benefit Kenya ?

The country ought to be waiving Visas only for people who directly benefit the country e.g. by investment or tourism. Wasnt it the other day they were asking Somalis to go back home ?

Notice the many transit hotels coming up in the South of Nairobi? Majority of visitors are West Africans, Congolese, Rwandese,Ugandans & Angolans on transit to Dubai, China, Thailand & HK.

FYI Addis which was previously the main hub requires visas.

who told you insecurity comes from outside? imejaa huku!! don't delude yourself... the insecurity that sumbuas people in the form of muggings, carjackings e.t.c. iko na nyinyi permanently! these imaginary lines on papers someone called maps have gotten into our heads.
and its getting visa on arrival ( they should waiver it)... all african countries should waiver visas for other africans. kila mtu anapatiana wazungu on arrival halafu you guard against your neighbour's 'insecurity' prisss.... countries are imaginary things - however governments are real
