Will ANC follow the route of independence parties such as KANU that went into irrelevance? or will it like CCM hold the fort and beat the wave time?
It's all up in the air!! while it is likely that ANC will still hold for next years election the person who takes over will have a war of dissent in his hands.

I don't think this will affect SA politically. Mandela had not been active in the recent past. He hadn't given his opinions on anything. His presence in 2008 did not stop the xenophobic violence.
