They are so lazy they would mourn a foreign leader for 3 consecutive days?

Sad Sad Sad

You didnt know that they are the laziest people on earth.

such blanket comments do not augur well with the spirit of EAC integration

We dont want them to intermarry and infect us with their laziness and ushamba.

These are the statements and mentality that works against EAC. I am sure you did not care to confirm what the government meant by period of mourning. There is a difference between period of mourning and a national holiday. In most countries, mourning just means national flag at half mast and this is also happening in USA. This altitude of always feeling that we are the best without seeking to know how the others are doing is just a sign of ignorance.

Can Ohuru also declare at least a day of mourning in the spirit of EAC community?

i am not for such a holiday as it means banks will not work and cheques will not clear. Also I doubt South Africa would do the same in the event one of our retirees goes to Makueni. They also chased our people from their country during the xenophobic attacks.

Good to remind them coz these wazuans have memory ya ngiri. Just the other day Kenya was the laughing stock in the world after declaring a holiday after Obama was elected......when even the US didn't do it.

@Impunity et al, aren't we celebrating 50yrs of misery and squalor and wasting an extra day. At least in pausing to celebrate Mandela's life for even a week has got to be more rewarding to ones conscience, soul and imagination. I wonder what celebrating 50yrs means to a 50yr old in Turkana and Wajir?

Kenyans are also very lazy it's only that Tanzania is a more lazier thanks to a culture that also has other benefits. One of the problems in our country is that we believe we are very hard working and great which is very far from the truth. Examples are abound for our laziness as well.

I don't think Tanzanians are lazy, they just have too much of undugu spirit. I think the youth in Mt Kenya regionj are the laziest in the world.
I traveled to Nyeri and Murang'a last week and there was mung'etho in all trading centers and all road signs have been sold off to scrap dealers.
