The list of the proposed nominees is in the daily nation pg 38 and www.deputypresident.go.ke .

Interesting list, especially the second schedule..

I beg to digress a bit av just passed by uhuru gardens thats where the bulk of the celebrations will be and as usual ma last minute kama kawaida ya wakenya some of the things being constructed there look a bit far from completion that monument might fall on the Prez...smh

@Maka, Most of those last minute projects are intentionally timed in-order to invoke " Time is of essence" price hike justifications.

Skewed nominations. A case of officials nominating themselves!...BTW, so even the likes of Kioko Mike and William; with their pharmaceutical SMEs are also heroes!!

I have not seen the name of Miguna Miguna among that long list of honourees in the Daily Nation. For an intellectual who has written two acclaimed books, started a succesful legal practice in Canada, has a home in Runda and had a weed named after him, Miguna easily beats majority of those listed for honoraries by a mile. There is clearly no space for meritocracy in this part of the world.

I saw war mongers listed on this list and others posthumously and never saw the name of Wangari Mathaai. Kwani what was the criteria?
