Amina Mohammed is the real deal. I know she has been criticized by some quarters but she has just been doing her job. Defending her boss!

she understands global politics.but I think ICC played into their hands by flexing their the muscles granted by the state parties

If the rule has been so amended, it will be difficult for ICC to fail to grant the prayers for excusal - once filed. They would fall prey into the hands of African ASP member states, triggering mass walk out. Even then, best option for OTP is to raise hands sooner than later

It's called a diplomatic coup.
It's a historic moment in Kenyan diplomacy.

"SURPRISE REQUEST

At the same meeting, called the Assembly of State Parties, ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda sprung a surprise request to amend the rules to allow her to use statements of witnesses not in court.....

Ms Bensouda wants pre-recorded audio, video and written statements from witnesses unable to be physically present in court, be accepted as evidence. The move came just as Kenya awaited a plenary decision on an amendment seeking to free suspects from physical presence in court through introduction of video conferencing.
Sad Sad Sad

You and I know where that is coming from no? Witnesses have varnished into thin air

Indeed me and you know witnesses have varnished in thin air, infact others have been made to varnish never to be seen again, I find it very funny that some of you expect the prosecutor to support the accused, where on earth yawa?

Again, if witnesses have vanished, why can't the man be courageous enough like his deputy and head to the courts?...and you'll still be celebrating when he is let go and proven "not guilty" because some witnesses were made to disappear...

@Nonstop..Doesn't the picture of your DEAR President sitting in a kangaroo courtroom in a distant land, staring at the roof for hours daiRy when he should be busy serving his people make you sad?

Remember his debate at Brookhouse, he explicitly indicated full cooperation with the courts. With a week case, he'll embarass the ICC Kangaroo court and come back to lead us....ama? Then once he is a free man, he will set up a tribunal to look for the PEV mercenaries and lock them in...ama he doesn't want justice for the PEV victims?

again you forget this is a political court and the hyenas have sold our soul to foreigners for their own gain. it's not a free and fair trial. Ocampo earlier had said he had solid evidence to prosecute, now bensuta says she needs 1b to investigate. open your godamn eyes and brain!!
i.am.back!!!!
