I'm planning of spending a couple of days with my family here http://www.ikwetacountryinn.com during the holidays.

Has anyone been there?

What's it like?

How's the road from Meru to Maua?

@Guka.......
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

@mukiha, I have been there, several times. Road to Maua is partly under re-carpeting but very ok for cars only pray it doesn't rain because some sections of the road get flooded with mudslides even as late as last week.

The Inn is quite ordinary, a bit cold, food is nothing to write home about and unnecessarily expensive. But in Maua, there are numerous places to eat. But I think it's ok for family and kids.

Spent two nights there with my wife two years ago. It's good for a couple but not kids unless the place has changed. It's the kind of place you go if you will be busy elsewhere most of the day. The road was good at the time.

@mukiha... are you going to the national park? If so forget about the hotels... book a kws banda.... there are four of them in murera and very well maintained.... each banda has two self contained rooms with a double bed and a small bed.... as for food there is a nice hotel near the bandas... just give your customized order and they will deal with it... from breakfast to dinner... but make sure you agree with the pricing first, otherwise you may not like the bill thereafter...

http://www.kws.org/touri...urera_Kinna_bandas.html

to book the bandas, go directly to kws offices and insist on murera gate bandas.
When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

@Mukiha,
I know the place but i have never spent there.The KWS bandas are fairly good but it's a distance from Maua to Meru national park and therefore,if you have no business at the park,you might have to put up at Ikweta
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
