AU priorities or lack thereof!

The NGO’s twisted their argument just to – by all means - win a point in front of their paymasters and thus made all Kenyans (including themselves) look a confused lot. What the constitution says is that PORK is immune from prosecution during term of office but such immunity is subject to international conventions that Kenya is signatory to, such as Rome Statute. That’s why we are advocating changing the Rome Statute, so it can conform to our constitution and similarly for many other countries. Hence the NGO’s misled the participants. If I were in that Hall I would have risen on point of order to say THIS IS NOT TRUE. Nevertheless, all that is needed to correct the impression is to write to AU members and give correct position.

It's a question of interpretation of Law! I am sure in a forum like that one does not just say things plainly and are believed, one got to produce supporting material to hammer their point home.
