Blessed and Blighted

Despite being a political dynasty in America, it was plagued by misfortunes in what came to be known as the Kennedy Curse. Edward Kennedy lived to be 77 but was plagued with scandals and tragedy. His elder sister Rosemary Kennedy had developmental problems and spent her last years in institutions due to health complications. Joseph Kennedy Jr perished in a plane Crash whilst on bombing mission in the Second World War. Kathleen Kennedy perished in a France plane crash too at a tender age of 28. Edward Kennedy nearly perished in plane crash and although he survived, he spent the rest of his life with a persistent back pain.

29 years ago, David Kennedy, one of Robert Kennedy’s 11 children, died of cocaine overdose and 13 years later, his other son hit a tree while skiing in Colorado; he died in the accident. Only 14 years ago, yet another tragedy struck; John Kennedy Jr, the son of JFK, died with his wife and sister-in-law when their ill fated plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean.
