Choices have consequences. Uhuru should look at the trade volumes, investments and general interests between the west and east to Kenya,Then only can he make an informed decision

Just remember he is one of the biggest investors in kenya, with interests in those western countries thus he must have considered all those worries you have. just take some njugus and kahawa thungu sit down and watch as you eat them one by one. utamu wa njugu ni kula moja moja

I have said it here over and over again (feel free to quote me) - the World is a supermarket! you pick what you want and leave what you want. I know some Christians are pissed of at the Palestine move (the "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee." group of persons). it's a good move by Kenya! (quick question - who actually says Jerusalem in the hands of Israelis will be peaceful? Jerusalem has changed hands 11 times - The Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Persians, Byzantines, Arabs, Crusaders, the Mamelukes, the Turks and the British). Secondly those investors kama hawataki kukuja kenya waende kwingine. just because you are friendly to Palestinians that does not make you hostile to Israelis. sometimes all other UNSC members vote for a resolution and US vetos it. are all other nations opposed to Israel?

the states in green recognize Palestine, the states in Red don't, the yellows abstained from the vote to upgrade palestine from observer to a "non-member observer state"

"President Kenyatta encouraged peaceful settlement of the dispute between Palestine and Israel, and expressed his support to the Quartet Peace Plan and the Annapolis Declarations, which affirm the commitment to the peaceful co-existence of the two states, Palestine and Israel".

This is what the entire world wants. Peace between the Palestinians and Israelis will take the sting out of a lot of terrorist organizations.

what is the problem with this 'facing east' thing? Isn't the whole of Africa, in her own interest, increasingly welcoming China's and India's advances? (OK I know the problem with the occidental leaning fellows is China but India is trying too)

Who said we can only face one direction? Can't we face both east and west? We've been courting the western markets for too long, how about ADDING(not SUBSTITUTING) some from the East?
