Kangubiri (kangufiri)was a minimum security holding place for detainees who had been declared reformed and were in the process of reintegration back to society. I am told Juja is named after two jujus that were obtained from West Africa by a certain settler who owned the land stretching to Kilimambogo from the current Juja. One juju was called Ju and the other Ja. Not clear why he buried them in an undisclosed location around Gatuanyaga. Is it so?
