Uganda started residential training a week ago. I dont know what Kenya are up to. I know CECAFA has lost its value but I am rather tired of being humiliated by Kina Eritrea and Burundi. Why cant Kenya just take it seriously and win this time ?

Kenya wil not win, even in the next 10 years of the state if soccer stays as it is with that Nyamweya hyena at the top.....I may even predict that,if Somalia were to be in this tournament,they would finish ahead of Kenya.That is how pathetic our national team is!  Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

The other day I saw a Yanga game vs some team called Rhinos...the game was on point kwanza Mrisho Ngassa wololo....Tz are also good...but I have faith in our team...Kiongera,Wanga,Pinchez,Abdalla Juma....we are good... possunt quia posse videntur

If I had money to bet I would bet on Zambia. They have actually called up some of their Europe based players. Watachapa watu.

If I had money to bet I would bet on Zambia. I also think Uganda and Ethiopia will be the teams to beat, Zambia have become a bit lacklustre since they won AFCON last year. Most of their top players also ply their trade in foreign leagues so i'm not quite sure if they'll be available for CECAFA.

I sure hope Ethiopia brings the same players who have recently done well in the qualifiers. Its a chance for Kenya to measure their progress under Amrouche. I don't know exactly what Ethiopia is doing but Kenya would benefit by being humble enough to learn from Ethiopia. Take club football for example. Egyptian teams are the bane of Kenyan teams. Yet St George of Ethiopia eliminated ENPPI who were the league leaders in Egypt at the time and St George almost eliminated Zamalek Story here: http://gormahia.net/late...iopia-eliminates-enppi/
If you read that story you will see that Kenyan clubs can learn something from St George.

If you read that story you will see that Kenyan clubs can learn something from St George. Kevin Kimani, Blackberry, Rama Salim were all very good players but were shipped out abroad after one good season in the Kenyan league. If we are able to retain our best players then maybe just maybe our clubs would have a good chance of progressing further in the continental tournaments.....which would also be good for the National team because the players would develop their game.

Good point. Kenya is loosing players even to Tanzania, never mind Europe. East Africa Breweries pours more money into Tanzanian football than they do in Kenya where they are close to a monopoly. And many players who leave, never play for the national team again.

Team Kenya is being weakened further as a number of players have dropped out. I think money is the issue.
In this era where players are paid decent bonuses, you have to offer them incentive to play. I notice players like Mieno never agrees to call ups. Either Azam prevails on him to deny call ups or he thinks its not worth risking injury to play for no money or little money.
