My fellow Kenyans, before I proceed to say anything on these pages, please understand and respect my opinions on the understanding that I also respect yours. These are the times when a Journalist such as myself, will itch to keep writing for what they believe and rightfully stand for.

If any of you have been mystified by the recent theatrics by our sneaky neighbor M7 (Museveni),then maybe you should read a little into the recent and distant historical events. Maybe then you would be able to understand exactly what is going on. Already I can tell that my article will be a little longer than I intended.

Luos are arguably the largest single group in Eastern Africa . If you consider all the ethnic groups that comprise the Luo family, you will find them in Southern Sudan,Northern Uganda,Tanzania and Kenya . They include the Lango,Teso, and Acholi among others. This being the case,a Luo leadership in any part of East Africa will be a political nightmare for any dictator in the region.

Kaguta has been fighting the Lord’s Resistance Army since 1987. The movement,an Acholi outfit was founded and led by one Joseph Kony. The fight with Kony has caused Museveni embarrassment and was a political liability that was impossible to surmount. A war almost broke out between Uganda and the DRC due to LRA’s hiding in DRC.

LRA in southern Sudan

The LRA is known to have received shelter from the Government of Southern Sudan. This caused tension between Southern Sudan and the Khartoum Islamist Government. Khartoum as you may guess has never been pleased about the newfound freedom of the south (Luos). As a result the south could not help but offer only minimal help to the LRA.

During this period, the man in Charge in Southern Sudan was John Garang,a Dinka, and leader of the south’s Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA). He once was Vice President and later president of Southern Sudan .

Garang mysteriously died July 2005 in a plane crash on his way home from Uganda . Many a finger, including that of some Ugandans, has pointed in Museveni’s direction. Museveni has of course continuously denied any part in Garang’s death. The truth will however be known one day.

Museveni has for this reason, like any self respecting dictator, been paranoid and acted against any perceived threat ruthlessly. Some of our brothers in Kenya have paid with their lives for the man’s discomfort. The Karamojong in Northeastern are a testament to this fact. Our president as usual, had no testicular fortitude to even ask what was going on.

A Raila Connection?

Now my friends, this is where the connection,in my opinion, with the rais comes. The president of this country (read true president) His Excellency Raila Amolo Odinga,as you all know is an ardent fighter not only for the rights of Luos but also that of Kenyans. He has been vocal about the atrocities against Kenyan fishermen who have been arrested for no reason by the Ugandan Police for allegedly straying into Ugandan waters. Among other things Agwambo,if none of you has noticed,is a LUO. A word that Museveni is never comfortable with. You may be aware of the amount of 'chapni' that he has done since wuod oganda showed interest in the presidency. He has flown many miles,as far as the U.S to consult Bush on his nightmares,in which Agwambo has prominently featured. What he doesn’t know is that he is not the only one who has suffered this fate.

Museveni was unaware that all men who step in Agwambo’s path are invariably crushed. We of course, knowing better, can forgive his error of judgment.

Museveni’s Nightmare

Why is Museveni so threatened by Raila? Do they have any history together? Why would Museveni rush to Kenya Silently to give Uncle Moody an award so suddenly? And belatedly at that? In my opinion,he feels threatened by the Luo coming to power in Kenya for one main reason. Seeing how the Sudanese were quick to come to the rescue of the Ugandan brothers (LRA),he fears that should a Luo come to power in Kenya he may not be able to Use his military in response. Ugandan military power is at best useless in the face of our disciplined forces.

Even though some would argue that Kenyan military power is untested,I don’t think anyone in the region is really willing to test it. Unless of course they have a death wish. What’s more Kenya needs not retaliate militarily. We could simply cut off fuel and other essential supplies that come through Kenya that Uganda desperately needs. We would simply starve them into surrender!

After Museveni came to power,he suffered a sudden bout of arthritis that has apparently stopped him from leaving the seat of power. It’s for this reason that he is so excited to see a fellow arthritic and would like to make friends.

Agwambo, once known as Railus Odingasis, has this effect on many it seems.

Please give your opinion. I will not take offence to any comments on this article.

Surely this has been discussed at length in other threads. Why register today to repeat the same story?

Why are you behaving so predictably!!!
When and how did you research to arrive at your conlusion that all those of an alternative view are;
I. Mafioso!!... whatever that means.
2. Of Mt. Kenya extraction!!

Raila has many subjects/fanatics,most of which represent baggage to him rather that import any benefit to his character as viewed by an independent observer.

Talk of counter productive efforts.
Quit shaming Raila through such diabolical volunteerism.

Guys, this journalist isn't exactly right, but he isn't completely wrong either,in my opinion that is. However,I shudder to think that he ((could be a she too) could rise to the post an editor in daily that will among other things publish commentaries on national political issues.

And I have read another posting by Juliani, which is close perhaps just the same but on opposite side of coin that this posting belongs to. And having read all the comments below,I would have expected the same people who have commented to urge SK to delete the one posted by Juliani about 'kiuks'.

Triple standards or what?

Unless,we are willing to overrun that hard-wired reflex embeded in us,another baby will be born today and among other first things,he/she will be taught that tribe X,Y or Z is bad or is like this and that.

Isn't this the perfect case of insanity?

If this guy is a journalist, then'the monkey with a gun' statement by one Maoka Maore that earned him the wrath from the fraternity is perhaps not too far fetched. Some background info..Some time back the former Ntonyiri MP compared journalists in Kenya with monkeys with guns owing to their indiscretions and obvious irresponsibility.
