Some subarus are rubbish, like the 1500cc Imprezza is underpowered. Some Toyotas are exquisite, like the 2500cc Mark X. Tried keeping up with one in a Legacy, sikutoboa. Don't generalize like this, judge by individual merits of a model.

Come to think of it, my pal experienced it with his impreza. It so troubled him till he decided to upgrade the engine to an 1800cc whose power is like a breath of fresh air.

Comparing impreza with mark x is like comparing IST with Outback.try keeping up with the mark x 2500 cc with not even an Outback but the king of the road lower version Forester XT SG5 manual transmission 6 speed and report the results.

What is the top speed of the two cars?
How many drivers here on wazua drive at 170km/h and above?

I never go beyond 110kph. I don't like speed. I am also very easy on the accelerator and never let the engine go beyond 3000rpm.

i never liked this make till"The heyday of Buick on American roads is long gone, but the brand is far from dead. In fact, business is booming — just not in the U.S.

The brand is hugely popular in China — the world's largest auto market — where having a large, foreign car is a status symbol.

@jagger. . Never? Even when driving to Msa/Naks/Namanga etc? How do you overtake especially on Msa rd at speeds below 110km/h?

@ZILLION, If top speed for Forester XT SG5 is 180km/h and that of Mark X 25G is 220km/h, how will Mark X not keep up?

Will it not be a case of the Forester trying to keep up? Once the Forester hits 180km/h, what else?

Or is it that a Mark X doing 200km/h and Forester doing 180km/h, the Forester isstill "faster"?

I saw one Mark X with max speed of over 200km/h, i don't know which model. That's why is asked in an earlier post, the max speed of the two cars.
Anyone in the know [Mark X 2500cc max speed] can shed more light.

All X-Japan cars have a max speed of 180KPH, thats the law over there. Similar cars made for other markets will have higher max speeds.

@murchr, If one is driving the Mark X with max speed of 200km/h and another person is driving a Forester whose max speed is 180km/h,which of the two needs "keeping" up?

When MS was with Ferrari, all other car constructors took second spot. Come Vettel and Infiniti [Redbull Team] becomes the new king.

At some level, its more about the driver than the car.

Mark X haifiki 200Km/h go chungulia that mark X that you saw and confirm. Alafu try doing its highest speed usikie vile itakuwa imeshake.

The car is very heavy the designers have however tried to shed 6KG off its roof to lover the COG - 2013 Model. This is Toyota's crown jewel.

How does Kluger compare to Forester?

The top speed is generally a fallacy and may not be practical on our roads, car speeds are measured by their ability to accelerate i.e time it takes to move from 0-60 KPH. Thats why you see all those prado's outpacing the much talked about Subs etc. Therefore, a car with a maximum speed of 180 KPH will outpace its counterpart that has maximum 200KPH coz of acceleration.

+1 i have a 250G Mark X its limited to 180KPH but the acceleration on this car is insane. stability is off the chains too, the only time i realize that perhaps am going too fast is when i glance at the speedometer and see 160kph..

My bad, i had misunderstood @ZILLION's statement. Thought he was praising Forester over Mark X.

The youtube video from @revolver shows Mark X as the superior car.

@Obi, What you've said is true to the extend of urban drive ,a short distance and a road with a lot of acceleration and deccelaration situations. In such a case, the car with better accelaration takes the crown.

However, if you are driving from Nai to Namanga/Msa/Eld,the car with higher max speed takes it.

From experience,i've been left biting dust 7 times. I would think am fast driver [please note;not the fastest], speeds of above 165km/h for long hauls.

On one such occassion, from Namanga doing between 170-180km/h, i was overtaken by a Land Cruiser Vx and it disappeared. Even at 180km/h, the Vx kept stretching away at alarming rate.

@Obi,I believe the Vx was doing over 220km/h and my max speed was 180km/h.
Do you still believe max speed is still a fallacy?

@Murchr, I don't think i'll ever see that Mark X again but this video shows Mark X doing 260km/h.

@Mkeiyd. you didn't metion what you drive, but lets all agree that a VX is out of this world in terms of speed, performance, balance consumption etc. It will outperform most of the cars on the roads.
