Out of curiosity, what doesn't add up? After all, it's a bankers check so the money is in a bank account and not a personal account. In other words, there is no way in hell that check would bounce.

So in good faith, let me give you some intellectual ammo to put the argument to bed, run a quick survey/poll right here on Wazua to find out if anyone has ever failed to cash a bankers check. If you can find one or two persons who have undergone this unpleasant experience, and I believe that should not be a problem for you given your "authority" on Wazua, then I would not be able to argue against that.
And now you shoot yourself in the foot: won't those fall into the category of "personal sob stories"?
@Mukiha is right know a person whose been hit by one...
@Maka: Brilliant. I knew you wouldn't let your "general" down, so with Maka supporting Mukiha, never mind you cannot verify the information, Mukiha was right all along. Congratulation Mukiha, glad to see my intellectual ammo has brought you success. According to Mukiha and company, Bankers checks are not secure. In fact, you have a higher chance of losing money with a bankers check than a personal check. Brilliant.
@TNT. What's your point/argument?
You want a survey done and when @maka comes through you twist it to "not letting generals down"?
Personally i've never lost any money through banker's cheque but i've been warned. There's an element of risk.
How big or small, i wouldn't know.
Cut the contributors on "your" thread some slack.We are all here to learn and share.

My point? Take any number of posts that both Maka and Mukiha feature prominently and while I am not a gambler, I will bet you 1,000 bob that the two almost always see eye to eye (never disagree). In other words, Maka and Mukiha are one of the happiest couples on Wazua, the two always have each other's back. Prove me wrong.

This is bank fraud which was rampant a few years ago,I am surprised you are joining the game late.

Yeah right, only that you are too stupid to realize that with the Council as the Payee and the five-figure sum, it would be a nearly impossible con to execute mainly because of lack of suitable marks. If you are such an imbecile, let me simplify things for you, how many people do you know who make five-figure payments to the Council? To put that into some sort of perspective, most business permits cost less than 15K (So all those guys would not be my marks). Council houses cost less than 10K, again, another huge group of potential marks lost. Why would a conman want to lose potential marks just like that?
If this were a con, it would be the worst con ever because it would leave me with a very small number of potential marks, and out that small number, most of them would be guys you wouldn't want to cross - night club owners.
Why do you seem afraid to use your brain? Unless you don't have one, of course.

IMO, About @Maka and @Mukiha seeing eye to eye I think its normal to find people in life who you perceive things the same way.
On the other hand, I have experienced cheque cons so I would suggest you be cautious. Otherwise, I hope you don't get conned.

So city council does not receive amounts in hundreds of thousands,what about rates?what about the rentals for places like Gardensquare?I suspect you intercepted a city council cheque somewhere and now want to cash it.Why do you claim people dont pay that kind of money to the council yet you are looking for one to use the same cheque to pay?
