I guess your candidate did not apply. Or may be they failed to shortlist you?

The Muema guy is a gamble. I would not advocate for him given his exit fromKPMG.

Generally, at that high calibre level Consulting Gurus dont make good Executives more so in the corporate world. Advice and reality are Cousins not twins; unless a guy jumped ship early enough.

Not necessarily but KP will worse off with him. Take note, this is a govt parastatal. He'll be offering nothing new. I know him up to some level in the corporate world.

I would go with the current acting ceo. From the day he took over, he has set out to make kp more responsive to its long suffering customers. He might not be exceptional, but he is a huge improvement from his lazy, arrogant and incompetent predecessor, njoroge.

The acting MD is most likely to get it.

Why would he want to move. I know for a fact that he has so Much at Stake at Uchumi.

Muema's exit from KPMG was marred with a lot of controversy bordering on gross misconduct

Given the conduct of the vetting...gross misconduct wouldnt necessarily be a negative.

I know that he did not apply but Mugo Kibati should have gotten it. Of course Chumo who was 4th in the initial interviews will get it because of tribal considerations.

I wouldn't care where he came from if he was supremely qualified and competent. But he is not.

I would prefer the Uchumi guy....He was in Kenya Power before and so understands it...he is a proven guy for turning around institutions. He is also a sombre management guru. For the current acting MD, he is a HR guy, I do not expect him to do much for Kenya Power.(Current employees would be in a better position to comment on his ability though) However, given what politics is about...the Acting CEO has a strong bet of getting given that this is a URP portfolio.

Perhaps Chumo. It's not good to recycle.
Also as Mugo Kibati would be good

Ciano from the "wrong tribe" will never get it! I can bet with anyone interested out there.
