Two things concern me about this piece of news:

1. Why is it that its 'western diplomats' that so happened to change the hard-lined decision of the UN security council.Doesn't this clearly show that ICC is a puppet toy of the west?

2. Deferring the trial by one year does not solve the issue raised by AU, it only postpones it since in a years time UMK will still be the president.I don't think AU will fall for this.

The west knows very well that if Africa walks away from the Rome statute that will be the end of ICC and the beginning of the end of the UN

Nicely Put. Buy Now they Put the cases on hold up to when? When they Finally leave office? Since Uhuru goes two terms for sure, while WSR has another 5 as Deputy Pork and another 10 as Pork, does it mean they will go back to Hague in 2023 and 2033 respectively? God Loves Yubilee for sure.

You seriously think that it can be that easy. I am sure there are plenty of strings attached. When the deal is too good...

I wouldn't take this deal. From Kenya's standpoint (not Jubilee or CORD), what do we stand to gain by one year's deferral only?...

I think Bensouda is capitalising on the AU move to quietly bid for time to get her house in order for the case of cases...

Methinks these fake stories of deferal are sponsored by spin Doctors to distract the most natural discussion in the Country after Addis debacle.

Will he go or will he not go?

We are busy chasing a squirrel.

Stop abusing spin doctors. Spin doctors don't lie, they change the narrative.

These guys lie and even come to post their lies on wazua bila kuona haya.

Ati security council decided. When? What time? Who was in attendance?

Then you have the standard quoting a nondescript blog that qouted a story with no references (a white mans website by the way) and they all are referenced together as source of some very serious news.

That is lying. It is not being a spin doctors. Liar liar pants on fire.

The AU was a horrible failure. They "resolved", then went home after having free breakfast, lunch, dinner and ethiopian beer and some ethiopian lasses. I wonder who paid that bill?

Ati Mugabe warning the security council. Ha! Kweli?

Ati quit the UN. Ha!

Anyway, I forgot. We are sovereign and pan-africanist.

In other news Kenya is ranked the third biggest borrower of World Bank loans in Africa over the past five years, a new report by the global lender has showed.http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/Kenya-ranked-third-largest-recipient-of-World-Bank-loans/-/539552/2030434/-/8ql4nu/-/index.html

We forgot to borrow from China....ooops they gave us only 19.5 billion. Who's our daddy now?

If I was UK, I would not fight for the case to be put off, especially if I was sure I am not guilty as he always tells us. I would fight for a compromise where I am allowed NOT TO BE PHYSICALLY PRESENT as the case is heard as my lawyers do it. The lawyers would do their work as he does his work here at home. This would give him a chance to clear his name.

Postponing the case, even if for ever, denies him an opportunity to proof what he stands for: That the court "has been lying all through". Even if he postpones it till he dies, he will go down the grave with one ugly tag on his coffin, A SUSPECT OF CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY. That is not a tag one would wish to live with even for one more year if he has an opportunity to clear his name. When he was very addressing a crowd at Kiambu, he said all he wanted was the case to be staggered in such a way that One of them will be available to govern, a request that was granted. Ok, now that it appears that he actually doesnt want to appear, and moreso now that he seems to be able to convince AU to his side, he should use the same charm to ensure the case is concluded in his first term. Even if he rules for 10 years, if the case will have to continue in his retirement, that is a wierd way of retiring. That is just postponing misery.

And postponing will only translate into giving Bensouda more time to learn from the current ongoing case and firm her arsenals for UKs case.

I started by saying, If I was UK, sadly, or gladly, I am not...Let the movie continue.
