10km I will finish but it will be a walk all the way.
Currently doing 7km along North Airport road so by October nitakuwa set for 10Kms
Meanwhile @Kysse uko! Hope figures bado changanya you this time. Come on sister, dont go with the mentality to walk all 10km, where is the challenge in that? Run, ukihisi umechoka, trot along until you recover, then run again, rinse and repeat....its how fitness is built, by not fearing to push your body just a little bit more from its comfort zone. Next time you will find yourself able to run the whole thing without pausing

Will power!!! Will power yuko tayari, maybe i should start walking like @BigChick.. On a serious note, do i need to be able to do the 21kms on a treadmill for instance? sitaki kwenda kufaint.. Every finisher is a winner hata ukichukua 4 hours......for me anybody who has run 4-5kms can finish the half marathon. ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

How about that stretch btwn the G4S and pipeline tanks as you approach jkia-less vehicles plus good security, you think we can cover that return? hoping that we don't dress like terrorists to avoid being shot.

I think if you do 6-10kms twice a week you will do fine. Though you will probably have to to a run-jog-walk-jog-waaaaalk kind of thing to finish the main marathon. But since you have the willpower unawesmake.

Just thinking that we probably should have started training some 3 months (or more) ago. Though solo training can be a challenge especially due to the 'inconsistency' vice. Have heard of running clubs like the 'hashers' and the 'swans'...dont know how effective they are in terms of preparation for the marathons....any one with an idea?
