My goggles can't see how Matsanga is a pan Africanist. Maybe he'd desire to be one, and or is in fact trying to be one.
It's much like an adolescent's rebellion. Perhaps that's why he kept insisting that he was 56. But it's a good thing that the African spirit is a place of shelter for us during these times.
Only we have to be very careful that we don't embrace a false idea. So far, I think we are on the verge of losing it. Like pan Africanism isn't just about internationalism, but also globalism. And thus its demeanor and character must always be conservative and transformative. Like now, Kenya ought to be conserving and transforming the ICC, and making it a just and true institution.
But it seems that the decision makers don't hold this view; even despite the fact that even if the bid to pull out of ICC succeeded we'd still need to gather nations under a common sense of Justice.
