I thought they are being appointed to work. For as long as we all think that any position of appointment is about eating and not working we will always have a problem.

Personally however qualified I was kuna kazi zingine siwezi fanya, those presidential appointment jobs are pure balaa. You are usually thrust into an organization that already has people who you are not familiar with. They have their own workplace culture of sloth and backbiting and implementing change is a nightmare.

You cannot choose your team members, you have to work with the ones you find there. You try to bring in people you can work with and allegations of tribalism, nepotism, jubilleeism etc start flying.

The bottom line should be performance. Your tribe does not have to be there for you to be served; For record my tribe has never helped me. Tribal eyes won't help us. Look at the appointees (Even those of commissions) of nusu mkate government they were all tribal to the core. Visits Governments institutions follows the same matrix.

Visit the counties....show me one county whose appointees reflect the face of Kenya, my hypothesis all of us are tribal.

My advise; stop crying and whining all the time about appointments If the president believes that is the team that will deliver his election promises, let it be; If you think differently which is good, wait for your chance to in 2017, 2022 etc.

Thats where you go wrong this are the same guys who ensure VAT goes up which in turn makes inflation rise,hitting you hard on the loan you have taken coz of the effect on interest rates...they are there to make your life miserable and its working perfectly well....


... and it is the I don't care attitude to such that may have resulted to the Westgate attack. The day it will bite you is the day you will care. Right now line your pockets with the shillings.


I like the Westgate comparison, @marko is somehow connected to the Kenyan military, you never can tell which shillings are currently lining his pockets.

Bwana Mc, let us discuss about performance. If they have failed, let us say who and who has failed and how the situation can be remedied.

Let us face it; It is the high level hypocrisy exhibited by individuals who profess how non tribal they are that shock me.

I'm sure if today you are appointed; you will gladly accept the appointment and we shall never hear of this hypocrisy gain....

Even though I make all the noise in the world, they won't listen. Btw, VAT hit me like a sledgehammer. Even power bills went up coz they started charging 16% instead of 12%. I used to care till i realised i will get shafted either way.
