They are No. 10 according to Wikipedia. Still high though. Human beings were never created for too much order. The ideal life, in my view, is one in which you are in tune with nature. You wake up when it's morning and sleep when it's dusk. You mostly walk or swim for transport and talk to fellow members of your species instead of watching TV or browsing the internet. That means no 24-hr economies and trains you must catch with surgical precision. These things make you efficient, they might even stretch your longevity, but they are going to stress you big time. And you, my friend, are going to hang yourself. I say balance, that's what counts. Balance.
Learn first to treat your time as you would your money, then treat your money as you do your time.

And by the way notice the caveat by Wikipedia (I think from WHO) about the fact that suicide data is not especially reliable. It's only as good as the effort and sincerity of the countries reporting it. Kenya for example is missing from the list. But going by newspaper reports I would bet good money that we're annihilating ourselves in large enough numbers to claim a spot on this one.

Istead of learning from them all you see is a lapse? I believe what they did is what was humanly possible and no other nation would have fared better. Ask Americans and Katrina.

The Japanese take everything seriously. If its a city cleaner,they do their job like their life depends on it.
Most organised and most prepared.

We can start by learning how to be responsible and take pride in what you do.

@tycho, The Japs were once the chosen ones, before they lost to USA which has since lost that status.

@mkeiyd, Nippon, being of the 'Gods', and being of heavenly mandate couldn't but be an empire.

Yet, the empire must include all the people of the world. Alas, the attempt to build the empire of Man will fail if violence is to be used in this pursuit. For the empire is in the heart.

The Samurai appear to have had an acute awareness of this fact to the point of 'exactness'. A failure in precision means death. Even as suicide.

Mercy is death, to the Samurai. So they must lose their mandate. The mandate of heaven on earth must entail healing and restoration, precision and imprecision.

And that is the way of the Afrikana. The Afrikana are the people of the altar, and diversity has ever been with them, and so has wealth, and happiness. 'Afrikana' isn't about race, or color, but it's about Spirituality at the altar, hands lifted to God.

I see no better time for the rise of the Afrikan continent as now. The rise of the everlasting empire. Imagine Kenya sending missionaries to Greece, and Italy to help them in their afflictions and bring them to the Afrikana!

Let's revive the Spirit of Man across the earth, and into the heavens, and across time.
