They've been bragging before but why does this particular threat feel eerie? :(

Then I receive this:

We have received intelligence reports that Terrorist are likely to strike and cause mass deaths and destructions in the following areas;

1. Electricity house Mombasa

2. Mombasa law courts

3. TSS building

4. Mama Ngina Drive

5. Bus stages

6. Ferry

7. Churches

8. Mosques.

Please NOTE that this is a confirmed intelligence and we need to exercise extra caution when visiting those places and if possible avoid them unless very necessary for you to be there.

IMMEDIATE MEASURES TAKEN TO SECURE ELECTRICITY HOUSE MOMBASA;

1. We have deployed armed police officers both in civilian clothes and in uniform.

2. Entry has been restricted to only those ones who can identify themselves and have business within the building.

3. To avoid overcrowding at the banking hall customers are being advised to pay their bill through alternative means like MPESA, Commercial banks, Posta etc

4. Entry to Basement on foot has been stopped. Vehicle entry will be to those ones with designated parking only.

5. Carrying of luggage /bags into the building has been prohibited.

6. Staffs to display their identification cards.

7. All visitors entering offices to display visitors badges issued by the receptionist of every floor.

8. Idle standing in front of electricity house has been discouraged.

Your co-operation with the security guards/police will be highly appreciated, in case you note anything strange/unusual inform youryb immediate supervisor or call any security officer available.

You cannot protect every corner of every town in Kenya. Not with the calibre of police force we have and not with numbers we have.As long as "VIPs" get their personal police guards then Kenyans will always be shafted.

the other worrying side to this is that whilst people are busy avoiding/security forces securing the named places, the attacks could happen in other locations/targets Sad Pray

@ butterflyke I am just as worried as you.
Infact my eyes keep searching for possible escape routes every moment I enter a building.

But it dawned on me that death may just fall from the skies if one's time is nigh.

My perfect Anti-dote for fear is the one Job.
Quote:
' For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.'

Fear paralyses and enslaves,which is exactly what the terrorists want of Kenya. A state of continous fear,emergency,they want us to stop living and be on the watchout 24/7.
But when I think about Kenya's history since Independence,the struggles and fights till day,all aimed at giving this nation some pride, I am more convinced that no foreign militia can drag our sovereignty in the mud.

We are blessed,we have and will triumph.

Funny how we want the police to change and act yet we cant expose these goons and they live among us. Your security is your responsibility. Tough lessons for Kenyans but I hope we're learning.

The war against terror will have its casualties. My wish is for the govt to play its part and device a wider scheme in which i will play my part.
