I really don't think he means what we interpret.
There's what he is trying to say but he cant express it well in words.
eg 'insignificant' to him means something diff.
I think he needs help in interpretation.

Looks like there is no upper limit for how many feet you can put in your mouth...

The govt should create a secret security agency that is empowered to search and destroy suspected terrorists plotting to kill Kenyans without going through the court system.

When the government conducts extra judicial killings, who will care about the courts, and the law? It will no longer be 'government'.

Such thinking may end up creating opposite extremes like 'Al Shabaab'.

In short,we need terrorists to deal with terrorists after all dawa ya moto ni moto.

I am tired of terrorists and whatever it takes to wipe them off I fully support.

Problem is you'll end up being a terrorist and will be dealt with like a terrorist by your fellow terrorists.

But yes, terrorism will lose it's strength over you. Only now you'll be scarcely human. And the world will be hell.

You'll have surrendered to the Jihadi interests. If you don't join them, then they should drive you to hell.

I agree with @tycho.

@kysse I understand how you feel, but I think blindly saying a suspect should be executed without trial is wrong. If someone has committed a crime, why do you fear arresting the person and judging him/her?

Don't execute people without trial
I agree that we have to fight wrongs in all possible ways, but not through bypassing the normal rules of evidence, presumption of guilt and abuse of Human rights.

This is how a government can degenerate
...into wrong operating mode.
Forget religious bias for example.
Let's look at other people who have fought for one thing or another and they ended up dead in the hands of those who are supposed to protect.

I've named a few before
including Odhiambo Mbai, Oscar Kamau Kingara (Oscar Foundation) and John Paul Oulo.
They were shot dead by gunmen and others by police killings.

What you are seeing is
Some people just indicting others because they are not your favourite.
And now we will see people arrested, accussed, and if government was to bypass the rule of law, then people must shout.
People should not say this person must have done something wrong, because then they can go to sleep, eat our own food, and enjoy ourselves and forget that he is a human being and is one of us.

We have become stooches of the West
I have said this before. What uncle Sam says, you do. Even when they told you kill one of your own you just kill! No, we have to say they must be innocent, because the rule even in the Western world, is that a person is innocent until proven guilty.

So if our own is taken from home
or even from street, and they are held for suspicion of anything, we must feel like our finger has been cut off.
Like someone has stepped on our chest, like someone snatched our son or our daughter.
That is why you see those people going to the police station, calling, asking, crying and begging.

But because it is not our son
Because it is not our daughter. And we do not have to see them physically, we say nothing. In fact we support the killing!

Oh Kenyans
is someone guilty just because he is Muslim?

I said before that since it is not one of your own, you continue with your work, to take care of your own business, to mind your business.
You just say, that Muslim, he must have been guilty.

I said in another circumstance, it will be your son, it will be your daughter, grand son, it will be you.

I say we have to support rule of law
We cannot let people be oppressed.

You can challenge the above, and try to defend the actions you are proposing,
but you cannot take away the fact that those involved in the war on terror can overcome their suspicion or mistrust of Muslims and turn them into partners in the war on terror.

I suggest he has written speech/update and should not take any media questions.Since he knows what we are saying he has become quite nervous and do from now on it is downhill all the way.Expect more blunders.

@ big chick.

This is clearly no time to use 'if''maybe''perhaps' 'I think''assume' during live interview.
Someone needs to make him aware that everytime he gives an interview, the social media is a buzz with bizzare speculations arising from his own words.
And before we are done dissecting the speculations, he unleashes more by going online.
One thing I know is that Kenyans ni wajuaji sana.

Trust me, even the best PR guru would not do it any better than Ole Lenku. It just confirms how clueless the security guys (and the government) are when dealing with challenges.

And people should learn to fight the REAL culprits. Calling for the sacking of Ole Lenku and not that of Kimaiyo is bizarre!

I don't think they are clueless... remember they had even been informed of the attack way before it happened... to me, it sounds like trying to hide an elephant with a handkerchief.... it's a tough task even for an angel.

Kysse,

It seems he is the mjuaji no 1. He is saying just what is expected from a typical mjuaji.

It can't get more clueless. When you have such intel that includes the actual date and they still did nothing!

An NIS agent even went as far as warning somebody (the pregnant lady) on that material day, to leave the mall since there was going to be a stampede.
