Procedural:The regulator requires investors who own more than a quarter of a Nairobi bourse-listed firm to state whether they intend to take full control of a company when buying stocks equivalent to at least five per cent in it. The shares Mr Kirubi is targeting in Centum are equivalent of five per cent stake.

Only ICDC, Kiribu and UAP have 5% or more shareholding in Centum. It can only be one of the two selling. I think it's not rocket science to pick out which.

CK buying the available shares from whoever stamps alot of confidence in the counter. It is also very notable that the amount CK has set aside for this additional investment is substantial (a whopping KES 1B!!!). Brokers have begun restating their BUY recommendation on this counter #Following

True that but nowhere does it state that it has to be preached atop the hill... "There is a lot of value in Centum. If you offered me a price of Sh100 for each of Centum’s shares, I would not sell to you -DJ CK”

Within the year the company has undertaken major diversification and expansion strides. The company acquired 45% of Platcorp holdings a micro lender with presence in Kenya Uganda and Tanzania.
Mid this year the company got a CMA fund management license for Centum Asset Managers
Limited and intends to boost its fund management capacity by acquiring a controlling stake in
Genesis Kenya Investment Management Ltd of up to 73.35%. Genesis is a licensed fund management and investment advisory company for institutional, local and foreign investors.
Through Mvuke Power Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary, Centum is looking to venture into power
distribution which is one on the underutilized and profitable sectors in the country.
The company also witnessed the ground breaking of the commercial development Two Rivers
project in Runda.
The success of these strategic projects is expected to grow the company’s revenue and hence
valuation in the medium to long term. In the last financial year, centum grew their revenues by
2.5X to Kes 1.9mn and a PAT of Kes 2.4mn up 2.2X. The share is currently trading at 1.1X its
book value suggesting some room for growth. The company is expected to release its half year
results in the next two months or so.

Is DJ CK the buyer behind the large blocks? And the price seems to be headed towards 30.
