...rumour mills have it that FK was briefed on the suspected #Westgateattack by NIS but sat on the info, that's why UK has slapped him with this.. Problems can get out of proportion, and not only in the wee small hours. Don't let the problems eclipse the Master. Let the Master eclipse the problems.

NSIS boss and FK were sitting in the same security council.....if there was a brief then everybody in the NSC should be aware including the PORK......and remind me again, why would NSIS only brief FK???? ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

@Obi..
"During his time as PS, the Treasury crafted new policies and opened up the debt register to the public, which for decades was for government officials eyes only. The Treasury’s most important development was to increase the amount of funds raised for government spending. Revenue has jumped nearly four times since 2003. Currently, Kenya is able to finance 90 per cent of its public spending requirement, with only about five per cent of the budget financed directly from donors and the other five per cent channelled directly to the recipients by overseas financiers. the Treasury under his helm came up with a strategy to operationalise the planned reforms in public finance – with the thrust being in automating processes, digitising data and removing ghost workers and pensioners from the payrolls." "During his tenure at the Treasury, it is not as if Mr Kinyua’s efforts could stop terrible things from happening to public finance. He is on record as telling a parliamentary committee as much after Sh270 billion from the national budget in December 2010 was not properly utilised because it got lost in corruption in procurement, inflated prices of goods supplied to government and mismanagement or misuse....The impression Mr Kinyua was giving was that if he had his way, perhaps such an amount of money would not have been lost. Perhaps, an admission that the government is also run by a mysterious cartel that is beyond the control of even the most senior civil servant in charge of the national coffers."

I'd have sent him home...he is overdue for retirement anyways. But I suppose tribal loyalty is more important that performance. UK is a very analogue guy, isn't he? Business opportunities are like buses,there's always another one coming

I thot this was michael Waweru's cheering card
Currently, Kenya is able to finance 90 per cent of its public spending requirement, with only about five per cent of the budget financed directly from donors and the other five per cent channelled directly to the recipients by overseas financiers. This is because the private sector has performed so well that the gava can raise its recurrent expenditure locally. Question, how much of development expenditure is raised locally, do you know of any road, or any power plant or anything that has been financed internally
the Treasury under his helm came up with a strategy to operationalise the planned reforms in public finance – with the thrust being in automating processes, digitising data and removing ghost workers and pensioners from the payrolls." BD this is just a vague statement typical of our zero research journalism, what were the results??
@ Taz, Thanks for the response, I asked a very simple question, in an attempt to assess Mr. Kinyua's competency above the other 42 million kenyans. Why has our economic growth been outperformed by most if not all our neighbours? Why has the private sector outperformed the govt.
