We have had the Norfolk bombing, Kikambala attack, attempt on El Al, USA Embassy and now Westgate. Why these places?
My take is these attacks are beyond terrorist organisations unless these organisations are given resources by states. The thugs captured on camera are too fit for ordinary citizens. They were very confident with their guns.

Even though i wear thick jubilee goggles on this one one I agree with @poundfoolish, recce squad were very professional and should have been left to save as many lives. I was horrified when I saw the military deployed. In what was delicate operation to save lives we had helicopter gunships, troop carriers, troops with rocket propelled grenades, deployed rangers, green berets, crack shots and ended up with 3 floors of a building collapsing. Whoever gave the command for military went overboard and jubilants should heed the caution. We deployed them in mandera they used mortars to separate fighting groups. We keep saying our police is incompetent and keep deploying soldiers for civilian issues. Sometimes let's remove our jubilant goggles and tell our leaders responding to "a bunch of cowards" with a sledge hammer that is sheer incompetence.

Seconded!

Before you believe this lie, the recce squad did not assemble for an assault on the terrorist, even though poundfoolish is creating his imaginary recce squad in westgate. The people responsible for clearing this squad instead cleared KDF to go in, they know why, this are useless lies you are listening to, i didn't know useless rumors can be seconded. Uwongo mtupu!

Since the President listened to him with his tyranny of numbers he should listen to him more closely...

Exactly, its being reported that one of them was a sniper who kept the assault team at bay for nearly 24 hours. It took a KDF sniper to bring him down. Perhaps we need a well equipped and coordinated Counter-terrorism unit probably made up of ex-military specialists to deal with such incidents (Jack Bauer-ish).

Clearly he is wearing political goggles. He has obviously been paid by somebody to make that tweet. That's his job, introducing political angles in everything. Seems he has gone back inside agwambo's pocket from where he emerged in 2012.

Security organs knew of attack in advance, claims Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko sensationally told the Senate that security organs and intelligence officers were aware of an impending attack on key areas in Nairobi, including the Westgate Mall.

Sonko claimed that he had helped two women of either Asian or Arabic origin to offer information to police on Al-Shabaab militiamen who were targeting sections of Nairobi. He gave the revelations as the Senate took time off its business to discuss the terror attack on the mall.

He said the women had approached him three months ago with information to the effect that the gang, which had rented a house in Parklands and Westlands, were planning a major attack.

“They mentioned Westgate Mall, Village Market, Parliament and the Kenyatta International Conference Centre as their targets,” claimed Sonko.

He said the two women were initially living with the gang in the rented houses but had escaped after being showed the items that the suspects were preparing for the attack.
