The siege of the westgate mall more or less reminds me of the siege of Eldoret town during PEV, where i was a victim. I was working and living in the town (working for GoK) at the time and for 2 weeks life was hell as one would have died at any moment since the marauding warriors had taken control of the estate I was living in, moving from house to house, burning property, killing their targets. You can imagine the helpless when you know there is no where you can run to and all you can do is hide and pray. Luckily the KDF arrived in the town and things eased gradually. I took the first rescue convoy out of the town. Me and my wife and kids were lucky, some weren't. As we condemn the violence visited upon us by the foreign terrorists, we should as well condemn and act on violence visited on kenyans by fellow kenyans.

That is where better preparation will come e.g. should Kimaiyo be wearing a helemt and be carrying an AK 47 asking to get in and fight or should he be co-ordinating with other agencies. For now let us mourn and take stock.

Since 1992 when my many friends were evicted from our location and went till date ... i have concluded long time ago that i will never fight a fellow kenyan ..... look at what happened after ths attack ..... all tribes and people came together to give cash / blood and their own selfs to rescue others .... if this doesnt teach us to love one another .... then am sorry ..

Why should we fight again as kenyans ...... i voted for a different candidate from uhuruto ... but so they are my PORK and DPORK....

I love them both .... then after 5 yrs, i will vote for my candidate .... in peace .... if he wins .. ok ..... if he doesnt ... it is ok ....

Why should fight my fellow kenyan .... just because we dont agree on politics??

Surely ... we need to ask ourselves had questions ...

I used to be a fanatic to politicians i supported ... till i came to discover .... none of them has my interest at heart but ..... just abuse me and others to get to power ... forget us .... then come back after 5 yrs .... cheating us what they can do for us ...

When my eyes opened .... i have never looked back ....

We must grow up as kenyans ...
