Apparently the initial assault has failed. Only one gunman wounded. Attackers killed a few hostages and threw their body parts outside after helicopters landed on the roof. Strategy is to get them to run out of ammo.

Said ammo may be 'run-out' on the hostages. Priority should not be placed on capture or end of this nightmare but on the safe recovery of the hostages first. No more collateral damage!

Dude, where have you been. It's a suicide mission. The attackers do intend to kill all hostages with maximum casualties to the rescue forces. By all indications, the hostages are just temporary collateral. It's bloody sad.

Police boss with positive message: "Tell hostages that help is steps away. Security men all over the building. Stay put."

Been trying to help. Suicide mission? Maximum casualties? Dangerous words those!! Isn't that a deadly assumption?

I would rather they be engaged in negotiations and nobody else dies, even if such negotiation was to take a month than rush in on assumptions, end it soon, but lose another so many livesSad

What? You must be joking. These idiots came to kill not to negotiate. At this time may be an ambush might do. More hostages will be saved.

This is ridiculous, all refugees should be rounded up and sent back to their home country, forget political correctness!! We cant sacrifice Kenya's safety in the name of being friendly neighbors. Atleast take a leaf from the US, law abiding refugees are given permanent residency, but the rest are sent out on the next available flight. But since we never differentiated between the law abiding ones and the terrorists, the only solution is to send all of them home.

These aint refugees but minions who think they are becoming very important. We have to check our border patrol.

I wonder what these guys are fed on for them to agree to commit such heinous acts. Sad indeed. More sad is the thought that someone may have been bribed and casually allowed these hooligans in.

Bro, everything changes when you are a hostage or have a loved one as hostage. Its when you wish you matter, or atleast have one amongst you that matters.

This situation calls for intelligent, well thought analyzed and sober decisions. Emotions will only lead to more deaths.

Has anyone taken time to talk to them? Have a psychologist gauge their intentions, state of mind. Or just talk to them while someone else stealthily steals his way in and trys to rescue hostages?

Gun battle itawes saidia? Imagine it was you in there as hostage while police pumped bulletsSad

I tend to think so - these guys normally don't have an exit plan. for them its take out as many persons as you can before they die. I am actually fearing that they are waiting to ambush person who want to make that move.
