They should have waited for them to do something significant eg oversee the economy grow to double digit, deliver on the railway, etc...just something "significant"...But again this is Kenya.

Reminds me of the one that was bestowed on both RAO n Ubako immediately after PEV for their contribution in bringing "Peace" in Kenya after sharing power. That, IMHO, was the height of contradiction. The violence was about them in the first place, then they were rewarded for 'stopping' it.

Dear Wazuans, this was an honorary degree which was rightly given to the most popular person in Kenya and probably for that reason only. Most unis give honorary degrees for their own interest and marketing. Stop reading too much into it.
