@ Gathige,

If Kiserian is in Kajiado County, you may have to wait till Feb 2014 in order to sell (or even buy). I can email you a notice I obtained when I attempted to sell mine.

@Apricot, Yes it's in Kajiado. I have not had buying and selling problems in the area unless the notice is very new. Send me as below. What problem did you have selling?

Kajiado is corruption riddled and worse still they are unable to differentiate original from fake titles.. a sad situation

Check your mail. Yes the notice is fairly new, dated Aug 30th. It is a letter from the county governor's office to Kajiado land registrar banning all land transactions from Sept 1st for 6 months.

please share the email at wendz545@gmail.com

and another question, what if one entered into a sale agreement with the buyer, continues to do due diligence and pays pole pole as they wait for the "suspension period" to lapse. Would that be legal?

the kajiado land caveat is for subdivision of large parcels not 1/8ths.

Tried sending to the email you have provided, but got a delivery failure. I can actually post it here, but always have a problem with putting up images on Wazua.

See what the notice says in its entirety. I have left out the header. Seems like they have put a caveat on also transferring land to a buyer. So I assume that even if the land is already sub-divided into 1/8th, they still would not approve the transfer until the caveat period is over or if the notice is withdrawn.

Several sources indicate that it is business as usual at the registry. Seems like some entity exceeded their mandate by posting the caveat.

Is there any Wazuan who has transacted land in Kajiado recently? How is the situation like after of the suspension notice from the Kajiado County government?

Seems the county government is determined to enforce the suspension

Its business as usual...I said before you cannot apply such a blanket suspension and any constitutional court will overturn that decision without butting an eye lid....

@Maka, thanks. Is there any involvement of the county government in the land transfer process under the current constitutional dispensation? I ask because I feel they may apply underhand tactics to frustrate and sabotage the transfer process to make a point
