funding to do what? to generate more village electricity? when i was in primary school, i read some books and made biogas and electricity from a pit latrine. also made turpentine from waste plastic. other kids i knew also did stuff like that - and even more. and we were not geniuses or anything - that i believe is something kids do all over the world growing up. some wazuans are too easily impressed or had unimaginative childhood.

of coz not. nothing i did was special. and media houses were not as quick to report non-stories as they do now.
give the kid his due credit, the technology is not new but his undertaking is practical, at least to him and his home - they get to have some good lighting at a low cost.
if you managed to get your biogas and pit latrine electricity generation to light up your home and save your parents some chums then good, you deserved mention back then.
