The most amazing thing is that it was discovered in Turkana where they need the water most

Turkana has a lake that never dries, if this has never been harnessed then making use of this resource is like a dream!!!!

Turkana has always had water! That Lake has been evaporating uselessly into the desert for millenia. Massive water and fish resources right there, while the locals starve. All they needed was a little serikali help to set up solar pumps in the vicinity of the lake and boom! Green paradise. There is nothing we will do with that new reservoir if we haven't done anything with the lake itself. We will not use the reservoir (which costs a fortune to access) if the open lake has been lying there for generations.

yes it is thats why the water is un drinkable, but the water underground (over 100KM below surface) is fresh

What did they say? The stone that the builders rejected....It amazes me that after all these years of neglect of Turkana by successive governments this region is turning out to be the most important resourcewise. Kweli ya Mungu ni mengi.
