Back then, I was taught that the apostrophe is to be used in the following cases:

1. Show ownership e.g. Dida's wife

Lolest, what about Didas' wife?

Is there anything like that?

shows plural possession. Check these example... The children's cows.

In the spirit of correction and learning, it should be this.

It is correct if the name is Didas and not Dida.

in that case it will be Didases wife d'oh!

@digitek1, stick to digits. How does above show ownership!? If it is many Didas who own the wife (like the Mombasa chaps), it would be Didas' wife like @Lolest says above!

Mr. Dida has a wife > she is Dida's wife
Mr. Didas has a wife > she is Didas' wife
Mr. A. Dida & Mr. B Dida have wives > they are the Didas's wives?

Ahem, what about this one:

Rewrite the following sentences in the passive form. The first one has been done for you.

Q1: Omolo rode my bicycle.

A1: My bicycle was ridden by Omolo.

Q2: Cheptoo gave birth to Kiprono.

A2:________________________________________________

Q3: Kimani made sure Nafula ate.

A3:________________________________________________
Learn first to treat your time as you would your money, then treat your money as you do your time.

I see. I get mixed up, often, about this. Thank you.

Answer - I met two guys both called Jesus. You cannot say "Jesuses" because "Jesus" is a proper noun, which has or should have no plural form (i.e. starts with capital letter) and therefore specific to its subject or "owner".
