1.8 million people visited Nairobi in 2012. Those generated roughly $1.5 billion into Nairobi’s economy. Masukuma, just incase you dont know, those who come in Nai for 1 day or 2 day conferences opt to visit the NNP because they have no time to go to Msa or the mara. If you have traveled and seen the concrete jungle that some western cities have developed then you'd appreciate the presence of NNP and Karura in the city. Its not just about money.

i want to see figures of the NNP gate fees! Who said my mums visit to Nairobi last month was because of NNP! Convince me with real figures from NNP. is someone came to nairobi and didn't visit NNP they did not come to nairobi for NNP!

And who told you our mum is a visitor? Repeat after me, visitor in this case is a foreigner ... Again....

exactly... SPECIFY WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE AND IF THEY VISITED THE PARK! then compare the revenue from the park with the revenue we get from Airtel next door!

You and who???? Airtel doesnt even pay taxes because they are always reporting losses so what revenue is this your talking about?

not corporate tax but rather VAT and excise and please - GIVE ME FIGURES!

What VAT???? They take it all back. What figures are these that I should give you? Enda ukatafute, we have an open govt website or ask Ndemo

this is not about airtel its about the 'usefulness of NNP', Kamahujui sema 'sijui... kutojua sio ujinga'

The NNP receives over 100K Visitors in one year, do the math

Umeongeza watoto wa shule?@masukuma, you never visited NNP when you were in school?

It's not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are.

my 2 dururus here. yes F1 has benefits in terms of R&D ..these tracks come in handy in research and development for automotive & related spheres>> lubricants/oils/ advanced mechanic / aerodynamics ..engines ..most of the engines/motor related prototypes are derived from these forms tested in these races ..TRD ( toyota racing & dev ) comes into mind..beyond the hype yes there is an underlying reason ..in termssmile of R&D..

@wanyee, Benefits to the host countries is what is being debated, not benefits to racing teams.

I always believed the priority in Machakos is food and water basically agriculture not formula one racetracks, film cities (hollywood), silicon valleys, small dubais e.t.c seemingly several white elephants because this is what he is promising residents rather than food and water, mzungu would call him "corky", i hope reality gives him a good jolt.

PRIORITY, priority, giving priority to wrong things, he has mentioned water and agriculture of course but his priorities are cities, formula one, 40 ambulances to rush pregnant women to hospital (a job which taxis and personal cars do very well, poverty is the problem not ambulance), buying cars rather than equipment, he should be talking of the bulk of his budget going to water and agriculture particularly in his first term, just my opinion, i mostly want to hear and read about FOOD from machakos, give me a good pointer i am wrong, i will be much obliged.

My friend was given this contract but he returned it unserviced. He was to supply them at Ksh 2 million each. This means they are secondhand.
He couldn't find an importer to do the whole order. Mutua also bought secondhand Subaru Otubacks for the county Executive.
