Back then, I was taught that the apostrophe is to be used in the following cases:

1. Show ownership e.g. Dida's wife

Lolest, what about Didas' wife?

Is there anything like that?

That would mean the guy's name is Didas, no?

or many guys called Dida having one wife

It is correct if the name is Didas and not Dida.

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Now that am a "culprit", let me answer. On Wazua, if you start a topic with quotes( " "), it automatically appears to have those commas. Just check on the threads with it and you will see. If you click on the topic itself, you will realize those commas disappear. Its a problem with the programme used in Wazua site, sio yenye munafikiria. Lol.

It is correct if the name is Didas and not Dida.

informally if you meet two guys called Kamau (john kamau and joseph kamau) or a family whose surname is Kamau. you will not be wrong to refer to them as 'Kamaus' or 'the Kamaus' - sio? if this premise is correct then it follows that if we are referring to a polyandrous woman who has a fetish for dudes named Dida (John Dida and Joseph Dida).
in a sentence...
Quote:
ati your name is 'Dida'? you lucky guy! let me introduce you to Didas' wife

you will be correct!

@digitek1, stick to digits. How does above show ownership!? If it is many Didas who own the wife (like the Mombasa chaps), it would be Didas' wife like @Lolest says above!
