PNU in which Uhuru was very influencial was in POWER for 6 yrs. Uhuruto have been in power for close to 8 months. In short Uhuru has been in position to effect investigation of PEV why isn't even one good fish in Jail for PEV? Do you want to tell me no one was responsible for PEV? If there are evidences against RAO why hasn't the Kenyan gov in which Uhuru has be a key member make RAO or anyone they want to claim they were responsible for PEV stand trail in Kenyan courts?

My conclusion the people in Government do not want to investigate PEV because someone powerful within the Gok can easly be implicated, who is that person? ICC say it is Uhuruto, my guess is as good as anyone's!

I may be just a newbie on wazua, but I'm encouraged by the sober thoughts of Rollout, alma and others. So here goes my opinion:

I think the ICC issue has clouded our judgement and as a country we are repeatedly making wrong decisions. Witness the unwise decision by Parliament to withdraw from the Rome statute. This has clearly antagonized the ICC, hence their decision to allow Bensouda to add more witnesses and possibly introduce new charges. Also, the trial schedule has now been altered such that the President and his deputy will be at the Hague simultaneously.

UMK and WSR shouldn't have been allowed run for President and DP in the first place. They stand accused of grave crimes. The constitution is unequivocal on who qualifies to run for public office. They could have nominated a compromise candidate to represent their interests in the last election. We refused to allow them to do so.

Who will be in charge of the country when both of them are attending court for a month? Some matters of the nation e.g. security are too weighty to be run via Skype. Who would give command in case a foreign army attacked our land? Ideally, the two of them should temporarily hand over office to an acting President and DP for the duration of the trial. People like the AG ought to be telling the nation how things will be run in their absence.

What if, God forbid, Kenya was struck by a natural disaster with the two guys away? Who would take charge of the situation?

It may be that we are too scared to confront these issues and answer such questions. Perhaps we are frightened by what we will find. Many on wazua have given this thread a wide berth.

But there's no more time to pretend that this problem doesn't exist. Our worst nightmare is now turning into reality.

First, how did you end up with 8 months?
Secondly, isn't the Judiciary independent from the Executive? The DPP is not part of Executive. And please don't talk about special tribunals because I cannot even see why the President should commission one or have the mandate to as a suspect himself.

BBI will solve it
