I see no difference. And both are 'correct'. One is for the Court, and one for you and 'me'. Otherwise the matter under consideration is whether Kay should be Uhuru.
But really, shouldn't we all be Uhuru, and Ruto? Shouldn't we all be on trial?
Who was neutral during P.E.V? 'I' for one wasn't. 'I' wanted 'change', and somehow the tyranny of numbers appeared to favor my chungwa side (And now when I consider how the last elections were won, and what 'tyranny of numbers' means, and considering how the former P.M. fared now and then, it becomes very difficult to tell what is what). In a sense, I have never accepted and moved on.
On the other hand, even though the chungwa side was aggrieved, the instinctive reaction, the tears and anger worsened things. I remember being so incensed and beginning my journey to statehouse. It was only midway that I realized I was embarking on a fool's errand.
Looking at it in retrospect, I thank the government handlers for the prompt swearing in ceremony, otherwise, things would have been worse.
By declaring theft on government, Chungwa tore the constitution.
Once the constitution was torn, the devil's gates were opened and we collapsed into a state of nature. Imagine seeking mercy, in the name of God, and instead receiving nothing but flames. What would you expect from God if not vengeance?
I remember going to a respectable and middle class church for mass and finding empty seats. Where were the believers? It seemed to me that the Church had long ceased to exist.
So now I wonder what Justice is there if the Waki list is handled by ICC? Isn't justice served when we collectively confess our sins, and heal one another? For surely, justice should be medicine that heals.
While I don't know whether the ICC will grant Mr. Kay's request, I know we need to face this matter with a spirit of truth and accountability, and love for goodness and justice.
