please need your valuable input with regards to a mixed relationship.What personal hurdles/issues can i expect while living in Nbo/Msa?
Your thoughts are much appreciated.
P.S. am the male white guy in the RS.

@care.....it probably means that no one here has that experience If you have money that you expect to start using in five years,it now belongs in stocks. When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

thats a WHITE lie... you want to say all the girls i see getting married to whites is because of money or does it mean no mixed race relationship would be genuine? I dont think so. There are people who get into such relationships purely out of love and not money... how do you know,may be the gal even has more money.. Such may be there,but dont generalise,its unfair.

Its not a stupid question. In SK,we ask all sorts of questions.... What I think you would need to know is her
culture - their dos and donts,Are you able to accomodate some of the cultural ways she wont give up - e.g if you marry from bukusu community,you cant great your mother in law by hand... if she insists on this,are you willing to go by it? (well this was just an example) Are you agreable on what you can compromise and what you cant? for example,when visiting her parents,you wont walk in when wearing just a vest and a short - well,personally i wouldnt allow you to meet my parents like that even if its not 'cultural' as such. Also get to know the rites of marriage in her community. they are varied.
her beliefs - religion and the like,are you compatible? Just like any other relationship whether black/black or white/white
her family - we africans are proud of our associations and our families which are mostly extended families,does the family accept you,how you relate with her family is important.
her personality - is her love genuine,is she a gold digger,is she principled - principled african women will not bend all over to accomodate you simply because you are a white. They will respect your differences and appreciate you for who you are but there are some values she will hold on to especially depending on how she was brought up - look out for the qualities.
her age: I hope you are taking up a mature lady,not an 17-18 year old girl.. if thats the case,if less than 18,its illegal,if 18 then be ready for the drama that any man would expect because she is still growing up.
And most importantly,if you decide to go for it,dont hurt our gal,ok? And take good care of her.
Was it @Carygoh who was organising a wedding for her friend who was getting married to a white? she could be of much help.

Wowee! Kenyan women loooove white men...…in some cases it really is about love and some it is not…….like Wendz said,it depends on the persons involved…… most of the cases I know of it is a symbiotic r/ship,both are out to get something; white man dates an African girl coz he finds it ‘exotic’ and he will have stories to tell when he goes home….. and girl wants money and bragging rights of dating a white man..…a kid is even better……
Methinks it’s the same for white ladies/black men…it can be either real or purely for men..all in all it depend on the individuals…….

@ all...very good points you guys/gals have raised and makes me think how/why we fall in love with the opposite colour/race ..u name it.
@ Kingfisher......pole with my delayed reply...but you raised an interesting point.....boobs n bum... well in my/our case it is more the deep understanding and love of each other and the personal attraction to each other helps too.
P.S. once again you guys n gals are a great bunch of people and keep up your good input/views/share on SK.
